Winetrip in Claude and ChatGPT
Last updated 12 October 2026
Winetrip has a connector for AI assistants. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant that supports MCP, the Model Context Protocol, and when you plan a day in the winelands the assistant can look up Winetrip's estates, opening hours and tasting prices, and hand you a journey to open here.
The connector's address
It needs no account and no sign-in.
Adding it
- Copy the address above.
- In Claude: in Settings, open Connectors, choose Add custom connector, and paste the address. In ChatGPT and other assistants: add it as a custom connector or remote MCP server, where your assistant offers one.
- Start a new chat and ask about your day in the winelands. There are examples below.
What it can do
- Find estates by region, the day you're going, your tasting budget, children, dogs, lunch on the farm, walk-ins or a grape.
- Give an estate's opening hours, tastings and prices, whether to book, its facilities, its highest-rated wines and how to reach it.
- Say what a tasting costs, overall and in each region, from our tasting price index.
- Make a link that opens your chosen estates in Winetrip's planner, which puts them in order and checks their hours for your date.
Things to ask, once it's added:
- “Which Stellenbosch estates are open on Sunday and welcome children?”
- “Plan me a Saturday in Franschhoek: three estates with tastings under R150, and lunch.”
- “What does a wine tasting cost in Constantia?”
Where the answers come from
The connector reads the same facts as this site. Opening hours come from Google and are checked about once a month, and tasting prices from each estate's own website; How we check explains the rest. Confirm with the estate before you go.
Privacy
The connector only reads public information and doesn't ask who you are. Our logs note which of its tools was used and with which filters, so we can see what people look for, but nothing that identifies you. The privacy policy covers the rest.
