Marshall, formerly known as the Barefoot Wine Company, grew from a casual three-barrel foot stomp on a south peninsula beach in 1996 into a distinctive micro-winery dedicated to Pinot Noir and cool-climate whites sourced from Elgin and the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley. Now exporting globally, the estate has become known for its nuanced expression of terroir, selecting grapes from specific soil types and microclimates to craft wines that reflect Walker Bay's unique conditions.
