About
AB Rossouw has grown grapes since 1984 on Swartrivier, part of the old De Groote Vlakte farm on the Slanghoek road outside Rawsonville, the sixth generation of his family to farm there. He made his first 165 bottles in 2015 and now makes about a thousand litres a year: Durif (Petite Sirah), his favourite grape, and a red named Oom Hendrik Rooibul after the cousin whose loan kept the farm in the family in 1930. Visits and tastings are by appointment.
