About

A 40-hectare farm on the slopes of the Wemmershoek Mountains, on the R301 between Paarl and Franschhoek, that once formed part of the Huguenot farm La Paris. It makes red wines from its own Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinotage, and takes its name from its view of the former Victor Verster prison gates, where Nelson Mandela walked free. Shane and Adele Jeffrey have owned it since 2022; wine is poured on the veranda or by the fireplace, and the farm hosts weddings and functions.
