About

The Marais family has farmed Breëland in the Slanghoek valley since 1847, and in 2021 part of the old cement cellar became a tasting room, with a French oak barrel cellar alongside. Lizelle Marais runs the estate with winemaker Wickus Erasmus. There's a kitchen serving breakfast and lunch later in the week, an off-grid cottage and a small function venue.
