About
Rickety Bridge is a centuries-old wine estate in Franschhoek Valley that honors its rich heritage—including ties to Paulina Pepler, one of South Africa's first female landowners and pioneering winemakers of the 1830s—while charting a contemporary course through thoughtfully crafted wines and farm-style hospitality. The estate's terroir is shaped by its storied landscape, coursed with ancient footpaths and historic wagon trails that trace back to French Huguenot settlers of 1694, creating a distinctive sense of place where past and present converge.
