About
Spice Route in Paarl is a multi-generational property rooted in centuries of South African history, with its farmland tracing back to 1693 when it was known as Leeuwenjagt. The estate draws inspiration from the historical spice trade routes that once connected Europe and the East, translating that rich heritage into a contemporary destination where visitors can taste wines alongside artisanal offerings including craft beer, spirits, chocolate, and cured meats.
