About
Vrede en Lust draws from the distinct terroirs of the Simonsberg and Elgin regions, with winemaker Karlin and viticulturist Annette cultivating over 90 hectares across multiple vineyard sites to craft layered, complex wines from hand-selected grapes. The estate's philosophy centers on understanding and expressing its soils, using French oak aging and careful timing to reveal the character of each varietal across different microclimates.
