About
A co-operative winery on the R43 at Breërivier, north of Worcester, founded in 1949 and named after the waboom, the protea whose timber early settlers used for wagon wheels. Most of its wine goes in bulk to other labels, but it also bottles its own range of oaked reds, fresh whites and dessert wines such as Hanepoot, made under cellar master George Kruger. The wines can be tasted at the cellar on weekdays.
