Nestled beneath the Klein Rivier mountains near Stanford, Walker Bay Estate is a family-owned venture that combines a winery established in 2003 with one of South Africa's pioneering craft breweries, all set within a working farm that reflects founder Bill Trew's decades-long journey from Welsh mining engineer to respected winemaker and entrepreneur. The estate's distinctive wine portfolio, including the Amesteca blend, draws character from its Walker Bay terroir while the property itself—with its restaurant, tasting rooms, and mountain views—embodies a philosophy of bringing people together to create something greater than any single endeavor.
