About
Situated at the gateway to the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, Whalehaven is a pioneering coastal estate dedicated to expressing the region's maritime terroir through carefully crafted small-batch Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, guided by winemaker Silvana Bottega's pursuit of purity and precision. Named in homage to the Southern Right Whales that return to nearby Hermanus, the winery embodies a philosophy of patient nurture and deep respect for nature, producing wines of structure and complexity that articulate the cool-climate influences defining South Africa's fine wine landscape.
