About
Zandvliet Wine Estate, near Ashton in the Robertson Valley, has grown Shiraz since its first plantings in the 1870s and was among the first South African farms to bottle it. The limestone-rich soils of its southern hills still shape the wines, which visitors taste in the Kalkveld Lounge.
