About
A small vineyard on the Wesoewer road at the edge of Calitzdorp, planted in 1994 by Tony and Lyn Mossop and run since 2007 by Mike and Pam Neebe. It is named after stone hand axes found on the farm, and makes port-style wine from Touriga Nacional, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Roriz and Souzão trodden in lagares, plus barrel-fermented Chenin Blanc, Viognier and Colombard. Mike pours the tastings in the cellar, with tapas from the farm kitchen when booked.
