About
The Le Roux family's farm at the foot of the Swartberg near De Rust, where they have made wine since the late 1800s; Swepie le Roux and his son Piet make the wines. The range runs from Chenin Blanc and Merlot to Tickled Pink, a sparkling Muscat, and fortified dessert wines such as Kaptein, Luitenant and Jerepigo. Tastings are at the Doornkraal padstal on the N12, 8 km from De Rust towards Oudtshoorn, which also sells wines from about 20 Klein Karoo producers, farm produce and light lunches.
