About
The Grundling family's farm Sandkoppies, on the R62 about 14 km west of Oudtshoorn towards Calitzdorp, founded in 1858 and run today by sisters-in-law Elana and Ena. Its Muscadel, Jerepigo and port-style wines are still fermented in open tanks in the old cellar, alongside witblits, potstill brandy, gin and liqueurs from the farm's own distillery. Tastings of the wines and spirits are poured on weekdays, and on Saturdays by appointment.
