Darling
Darling is a small West Coast town about an hour north of Cape Town, 15 km inland from the Atlantic, among wheat fields, granite hills and spring wildflowers. Ocean breezes and mostly dryland vineyards suit Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc and Shiraz. The cellars are few and close together, with one more on the coast at Yzerfontein, so a day covers most of them.
