West Coast

The West Coast wine route follows the Olifants River valley from Citrusdal, about 180 km north of Cape Town, to Lutzville and the Atlantic at Doringbaai, with high vineyards in the Piekenierskloof and the Cederberg. Vineyards range from old dryland Grenache in the mountains to Chenin Blanc and Shiraz in the warm valley and Sauvignon Blanc within sight of the sea. Large cellars sit alongside small family farms, and distances are long.

Winetrip lists 10 wine farms in West Coast, 1 of them with a published tasting price.
